Royal Caribbean free time of the Seas recapitulate
Rccl – leisure of the Seas Review
Itinerary – comments:
Freedom Beach
Day 1. After arriving at Port Canaveral we parked in the parking lot adjacent to the cruise terminal. It’s easy to find parking so don’t be implicated about that. We arrived to be greeted with a sizeable slow animated line. This was not Royal Caribbean’s fault, but that of disorganized port safety people. The port safety lady was very impolite when she found out that I didn’t have all of my set sail paperwork. Ooops! Make sure that you have your set sail pass paperwork and passport ready to go!
Day 2. Cocoa Cay. – There were plenty of chairs. I was warned to get off the ship early to get a chair. We’ll I had about 1000 to choose from. If an additional one ship is docked I can see how this would be a problem, but not if you are the only boat there. I liked all of the beaches especially Barefoot beach where you can walk far out into the water. Bring your license if you and your kids want to do a jet ski. The snorkeling was very good. I saw a barracuda, sting ray, gar fish, blow fish, and yellow fish (?). The slide was fun for the kids and you can book that there on the island, just like the water park offshore. I would also suggest taking bottled water or a snack as there isn’t actually a place to buy many things. I liked Cocoa Cay a lot. I very nice stop.
Day 3. Sea day
Day 4. St. Thomas – We took an excursion to St. John to Trunk Bay to snorkel. The snorkeling is exquisite and so is the scenery. It seemed as though the trip goes too fast as only 1 ½ hours is spent at trunk bay. Apparently there are two tours booked at Trunk bay. We had an excursion in the afternoon and met the Carnival population heading back. If you get the afternoon excursion beware that they close the snack shop early – like at 3 pm in the afternoon. I’m not sure why, it’s not like it was getting dark.
I also have been to Megan’s bay on a previous trip. Megan’s bay has a beautiful beach also, but with not much in the way of snorkeling. Regardless if you go to Trunk bay or Megan’s bay or a dissimilar venue, This is an exquisite good port with lots to do and see.
Day 5. St. Martin – St. Maarten / St. Martin is one island divided into two countries – Dutch and French. You can take a water taxi just off of the boat at Phillipsburg for all day. It will take you for a 5 tiny ride to the shops and beach in town. There will be population trying to sell you things but they don’t badger you if you say no thanks. We rented the jet skis. That were for 35 minutes. We starting walking by and got them for and two”free” chairs. Don’t agree to the first price and see what you can bargain for.
I didn’t go to Oriental Beach as many do. There is the possibility of seeing nudity from where Rccl goes to the beach, but I don’t think it’s common. I just didn’t hear many population talking about it. I liked St. Martin a lot too. I didn’t care for the population trying to see you stuff as soon as I got off of the water taxi, but it was definitely not as bad as what you would encounter in Jamaica.
Day 6. Sea day
Day 7. Sea day
Day 8 Disembarking.
Review Comments:
My extensive touch was very good. I was surprised that the leisure didn’t seem too much bigger than the Mariner of the Seas. The staff was excellent. We were taken well care of by the dining staff and room staff. I also felt that the entertainers on the ship also were quite talented. The shows seemed slow and were not commonly memorable though. I would like to see shows with more pep. I would also like to see shows changed more often. I have actually sailed on the Mariner of the Seas where the shows were the same a year apart. Cruise lines need to pay attentiveness to the return customer!
The putt – putt golf procedure was pretty, but built with tiny imagination. There is practically no way to get a hole in one. The flow rider was a hit. Time was divided up between surfing and knee boarding. There were a few experts, but most had fun while learning. There was also time for underground lessons; in my concept too much time. Up to 5-6 hours a day was devoted to those who would pay extra for lessons.
Cruising is great fun. There are a lot of underground costs though. Be careful, Royal Caribbean adds in tips automatically for everything….. Even drinks. If you’re not rigorous you can actually duplicate tip. Even on the islands tip boxes are everywhere.. Take a handful of ones and some fives explicitly for this purpose. When you take a cruise it Will cost more than you planned, especially if you drink alcohol!
I would also suggest not booking a flight too close to disembarking time. My cruise was diverted because person was ill. It put the leisure back in port about six hours late. Not only did it create a log jam on disembarking, it created a bunch on angry folks who missed flights. Word to the wise, get travel insurance.
Another recommendation to Royal Caribbean: the pictures are expensive. I would suggest somehow being able to put the pictures in a digital format so that population can touch up a few blemishes. There were some pictures that I would have purchased it one or two blemishes could have been touched up on my computer at home. I also belive that more pictures would be sold too.
I noticed that the same movies were played over which could have been actually varied. Also, the ice cream dispenser on pool deck created log jams every day. Couldn’t there be a great place for it? Why was it shut down at I believe 8 pm? It should be one of the “open late” venues.
Overall, I enjoyed the touch very much. I believe that Rccl and other cruise lines need to work harder to please the repeat cruiser. I would also suggest shaking up the itineraries a little. How about changing one of the stops instead of the same stops?
Happy Sailing!

Purchase Tickets Far In Advance
Purchase your ticket 3-6 months in expand or last minute. If you have more than one flight to choose from, pick one that leaves extra early or very late. Aim for both departure and return dates in the middle of Tuesday and Thursday. These flights are less beloved and usually have a lower price tag.
If you are not a fan of long-term tour plans it can get costly if plans change. You can buy your tickets in the last 3-6 days prior to your target departure date. Empty seats have a $ 0 value as soon as the plane takes off. Real last little seats are very cheap.

Resident Geese Problems
For over a decade many Canada geese have been doing the unexpected – they are not going back to Canada. As a result, the Northeast United States has become home to an alarming whole of these problematic birds. Tighter Federal and State protective regulations coupled with the changed migration patterns of these birds have contributed to their village and expansion. From Connecticut to New York and the rest of the Tri-State area, populations of Canada geese are causing serious problems for the locations they continue to rule in.
The problem with these 5 million or so resident Canada geese is that the midpoint full grown goose eats 3 lbs of grass a day, which is cordial returned via a 1.5 lb bundle of droppings. For most people, this might not be of much concern. For asset owners with sprawling lawns of great value, however; these Canada geese are much more than just a nuisance.
Beach
The increasing whole of year-round geese settlers has led to important troubles for the New York, Westchester, Putnam, Duchess, Long Island, and Southern Connecticut areas. Large flocks of geese are causing damage and posing human health risks in parks, waterways, golf courses, residential areas, corporate campuses, cemeteries and schools. Agreeing to the New York State group of Environmental Conservation and the U.S. group of Agriculture Animal health Inspection Service, “[Goose]Problems contain over-grazed lawns, accumulations of droppings and feathers on play areas and walkways, nutrient loading ponds, communal health concerns at beaches and drinking water supplies, aggressive behavior by nesting birds, and security hazards near roads and airports”.
For asset owners whose landscapes are plagued by the Canada goose, it is foremost to use both a safe and productive method for discouraging these pest-like birds who frequent their lawns. People with Canada goose problems often make the mistake of using harmful or quick fixes like poisons, noisemakers, grid wire, and plastic replicas of goose predators. Not only are these methods temporary, but they can be dangerous. It is foremost (for both the environment and one’s wallet) to make the entertaining selection of using safe and humane goose operate solutions that last.
The Canada goose problem is growing in the Northeast. However, goose problems don’t need to be your problems with local clubs who are ready to supply safe and productive solutions to the increasing whole of avian immigrants from the north.

Acer – Paving the Way For the Netbook Generation
What is so cool about the Acer Aspire One netbook? What are the reviews saying and should you drop your cash on the counter to get one? These are all things possible customers are request themselves when it comes to this new netbook device. First, let’s take a look at the basics.
What exactly is a netbook? Netbooks are designed to be “cloud computers” more or less, which means less hardware and more power in storing information and applications in the clouds-or the internet in laymen’s terms. For an increasingly mobile generation, this is a great idea. It’s also perfect for an increasingly more wired and related generation. Citizen are hooked on mobile devices and they are becoming more favorite every day. That is why computing devices like the Acer Aspire One are getting such a great response-people love small conveyable computing devices they can take to a café, take to work, take to the beach-you name it and the Acer Aspire One can go there. With just an 8.9 inch screen-it’s easy to take anywhere you want it to go.
Beach
Another great thing about these netbooks is they often come at a much lower price than a typical laptop. This has to do with any factors, and the Acer Aspire One is a great example of this. For example, the One comes installed with a version of Linux that is open source and so, it is free of charge. This greatly reduces the price of the netbook since there is no included cost to license an operating theory like, let’s say, Windows Xp. Although if you are in dire need of a Windows operating theory you can make the extra hundred dollars or so to have it licensed and installed.
The Acer Aspire One is a great netbook for a few major factors. One thing that I personally never enjoyed about netbooks is their cramped keyboards. The Acer Aspire One feels like a real mid-sized keyboard you can feel comfortable typing on. This type of thing goes a very long way since typing on a ridiculously small keyboard can get old and annoying extremely quickly. I even returned a netbook-I got so sick of the keyboard (after two hours!) Luckily, the Acer Aspire One doesn’t suffer from this problem.
A great added bonus of netbooks is their battery life. When you’re on a smaller gismo you can power it more categorically with less added weight-making it much more mobile. For example you won’t have to haul around an Ac adapter anywhere you want to way the internet on your Acer Aspire One, you can just rely on the battery to keep you going throughout the day. Some netbooks can go for as long as 4-8 hours on confident batteries. If you’re a road warrior or constantly mobile you might want to look additional into an Acer Aspire One for your mobile computing needs.

How to Paint a Beach Scene
Painting a beach scene is not hard, but where do you begin? follow these step by step directions and you will have a wonderful painting of your popular beach in no time!
Sketch in drawing, Do not worry, the sketch does not have to be involved. You should determine where you want the water to meet the sky and sketch in this horizon line. Next, determine if there will be any boats, islands or land illustrated in the painting and sketch those in as well.
Beach
Paint in sky and clouds. With white, paint in the whole sky to the horizon. Now with blue, start at the top of the canvas and blend down. This will generate a sky that is darker at the top and lighter or fade into white where it reaches the sea. This is a gorgeous effect. You will paint right over the reference line you drew in. This is ok because the line was there just for reference.
Let the paint dry before painting clouds if you are using acrylic paint. If you are using oil or watercolor go ahead and start the clouds on the wet canvas. Now with white and maybe a touch of blue and or crimson add first layer of clouds using circular motions. Keep the tops of clouds distinct, but blend the bottoms of them. With circular motions paint in second layer of clouds using white. Keep tops sure and blend bottoms. Don’t cover up all of your background clouds. Leave provocative pockets.
Paint in the Sand or Beach Using yellow ochre and or raw sienna and paint in the sand. Do not blend too much. The changes in color variations keep it interesting. You can use a stiff paint brush or toothbrush to flick color onto the sand for effects of small rocks and pebbles. Make the sand color go deeply into where the water will be. You will paint the water color right over the top of it – or at least some of it, but you need it done this way so it looks realistically like a seashore.
Paint in the Water beginning at the horizon line, add blue to generate water. Use very even and horizontal strokes at the horizon. As you come forward, the strokes could be a small uneven for a request for retrial effect. Use blues and greens and maybe even some burnt sienna where you want the water to appear darker. The water gets darker as you come forward. Leave some streaks of white to look like ripples and waves. Add some dark shadows under and to one side of things like boats if there are any in your painting. This will generate an follow of cast shadows. If you haven’t already – “pull” the water into the sand using white. Make sure that you keep the strokes horizontal.
Land and Cottages. Fill in distant hills with a pale blue green mixture. Darken the compound and add a few bushes or trees in front of that. There should not be much detail if the land is far away. Add any houses or cottages. They should not be too large. As far as shading, if the light is coming in from the left, the right side of buildings and roofs would be darker because they are in shadow. detail houses, add some small yellow/orange lights in the windows.
Final Details Add birds flying, seagulls, sea or oat grass, population or figures on the beach, and do not forget to sign your painting!

In modern years, the Philippines has rapidly come to be a premier honeymoon destination. In April 2009, the Philippines was awarded the “Most beloved Destination in Asia” award by expert jurors at the 2009 World voyage Fair in Shanghai, China. Foreigners booking their marriage ceremonies and honeymoons in the Philippines have been at description increase rates the past some years.
What are the Most Romantic Places to Visit?
Resort
Insiders, population who live in the Philippines, or those Expats who voyage to the Philippines frequently have found many special romantic “getaways” to bask in equal doses of passion, solitude and mammal comforts. Frankly, there are so many gorgeous and romantic locations in the Philippines, it is very difficult to identify the Top 5, Top 10 or even the Top 20. Certain places are more romantic to some than others for very personal reasons.
Nevertheless, based on my over 20 years of travelling to and living in the Philippines with my Filipina spouse, I have come up with a broad list of locations which I continuously find other Expats confirming with me as also being their beloved romantic getaway locations.
The Luxury Locations
1. Amanpulo on Pamalican Island: Rated – 5 Star
This has to be at the top of the list, with rooms beginning at 0 per night. This place is the extreme beach resort in the Philippines and the extreme Getaway for those with the funds to afford it. If you choose to visit Amanpulo, you will be hobnobbing with the rich and famous of the world – jetsetters and celebrities from colse to the world. This is one of the best known private locations in the Philippines.
2. Manila Makati Peninsula Hotel: Rated – 5 Star
This is the perfect getaway for those finding for a romantic upscale, city location, with city light views and culture similar to New York City. There are numerous room choices, from first-rate rooms ranging from 0 to 0 per night, up to suites ranging from 0 to 0 per night. The views in the lobby of the hotel are indeed stunning, and the room is perfectly decorated.
3. Shangri La Mactan Island Resort (Cebu): Rated 5 Star
This luxurious resort is nestled on 14 hectares of beautifully landscaped coastal land. All the rooms open to perfect view of the ocean. Being on the coast, the resort offers all the normal water sports. You get a lot of space when you stay here. It has been named as one of the “Top Ten Best Resorts in the Asia-Pacific” by firm tourist Magazine
4. Badian Island Resort and Spa (Cebu): Rated 5 Star
This resort is on the top of the list of Top 10 Island Spas, as featured in a modern issue of Asia Spa magazine. It is situated just off the coast on the far Southwest end of Cebu island, away from the cities and the noise, in a perfectly gorgeous romantic destination spot. It is about a 2.5 hour drive from the Cebu airport, but you can invite for a helicopter to whisk you to the resort in 30 minutes.
5. Shangri La Boracay Island: Rated: 5 Star
Another plush asset from the Shangri-La’s group, this resort is placed in a northern part of Boracay island. It is in a location secluded from all the hustle and bustle congestion of Boracay, and has its own secluded 350 meters of unspoiled beach and well-preserved nature. This luxury resort features 219 rooms and villas decked out in ethnic Filipino décor, each room connecting to a balcony where you can relax and revel in panoramic views of the beach.
Now, how about the rest of us, we who wish to not so freely roll out the night rates of the above luxury resorts, but wish to find that unique romantic getaway. Well, this list is even harder to select, as there are so many gorgeous and romantic locations at the more affordable rates of 0 to 0 per night.
The allocation Minded Locations
1. Boracay’s elite row of resorts – Boracay is the best-known tourist spot in the Philippines. Because the northern end of Boracay’s main beach is relatively isolated, the more high-end resorts are placed there, two of which I suggest as romantic getaways:
Waling-Waling Beach Hotel: Rated: 3 Star
This resort has only 29 rooms, so it is quite private, and guests are treated like family. What gives this resort its unique character is that outdoors is a line of native cabanas filled with over-sized pillows decorated with shells and hanging lamps where you can dine, read, drink, take a nap or simply watch the sea and population walk by.
Friday’s Resort: Rated: 4 Star
Friday’s, like Waling, is placed on gorgeous White Beach, but what makes it differ so much from Waling is its somewhat isolated location, which gives it more privacy. It was the first luxury resort built in Boracay
Nami private Villas Hotel: Rated: 4 Star
Nestled in the hills with a magnificent view of the ocean, the resort features 12 private and spacious villas, each with its own Jacuzzi. The resort is only a 10 puny drive from the main area of White Beach. There is a service town that can dispose activities for guests, such as horseback riding, aqua sports, and golf. The resort is an ideal destination for those seeking a romantic getaway with privacy and seclusion, while still being colse to Boracay’s market area.
2. El Nido Resorts in Palawan: Rated – 4 Star
El Nido is home to bright vistas of white sand beaches, huge limestone cliffs, tranquil lagoons, and reefs teaming with life. The landscape is simply stunning, the water some of the clearest I have ever witnessed, and they are indeed secluded – on the north end of Palawan. There are two major resorts production up the El Nido Resorts – Lagen Island Resort and Minoloc Island Resort.
3. Pearl Farm Beach Resort: Rated – 5 Star
Located in the southern part of the Philippines is the Samal group of Islands, an archipelago consisting of nine islands which stretch out over a land area of 28,000 hectares. Samal is a beautiful, tranquil and exotic island with a coastline adorned with white sand beaches, abundant marine life, rock formations, mangroves, and landscape elements of coconut palms, flowering plants and fruit-bearing trees. The area is blessed with assorted natural attractions and thriving flora and fauna.
4. Pansukian Resort: Rated 5 Star
This is a beautiful, uncrowded (only 8 Villas) resort in Siargao, an unspoiled island in the southern Philippines, also known as a surfer’s heaven. There is a world famous surf break known as Cloud 9 north of normal Luna, the main city on the island. The Siargao Cup surfing competition is held in late September or early October each year. Siargao is east of Cebu and northeast of Butuan City in Mindanao.

Now, its cool temperatures (average of 19 degrees Celsius year round) draw Manila visitors in large numbers when the lowlands are sweltering.
